SimFolio ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our SimFolio mobile application (the "App").

Information We Collect
Information You Provide
- Profile Information: School name, graduation year, and display name (optional)
- Portfolio Data: Procedure types, photo tags, tooth numbers, and portfolio configurations you create
- Photo Metadata: Tags, ratings, and organizational data you assign to photos (photos remain in your device's photo library)
Information Collected Automatically
When you use our App, we may automatically collect certain information, including:
- Device Information: Device type, operating system version, unique device identifiers
- Usage Data: Features used, screens viewed, actions taken within the App
- Crash Data: Technical information about app crashes and errors to help us improve stability
- Performance Data: App launch times, response times, and other performance metrics

Firebase Analytics (Google)
We use Firebase Analytics to understand how users interact with our App. Firebase Analytics collects:
- App usage patterns and feature engagement
- Screen views and user flows
- Device information (model, OS version)
- Geographic region (country/region level)
Firebase Analytics data is aggregated and does not identify individual users. For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy.
Firebase Crashlytics (Google)
We use Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash reports and diagnostic information, including:
- Crash logs and stack traces
- Device state at time of crash
- Device model and OS version
- App version information

RevenueCat
We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions and in-app purchases. RevenueCat collects:
- Purchase history and subscription status
- Anonymous user identifiers
- Device information for fraud prevention
RevenueCat does not have access to your payment information, which is handled securely by Apple. For more information, see RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
Apple Services
- App Store: Subscription purchases are processed through Apple's App Store. Apple handles all payment information according to their Privacy Policy.
- Photo Library: Photos remain stored in your device's photo library. We only store metadata (tags, ratings) that you assign to photos.
App Tracking Transparency
When you first use the App, we will ask for your permission to track your activity across other companies' apps and websites. This tracking is used to:
- Measure advertising effectiveness
- Provide aggregated analytics
You can change your tracking preferences at any time in your device's Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
Your Privacy Choices
Analytics Opt-Out
You can disable analytics and crash reporting at any time:
- Open SimFolio
- Go to Profile > Data Management
- Toggle off "Analytics & Crash Reports"
When disabled, we will not collect usage data or crash reports from your device.
Data Export
You can export your data at any time:
- Go to Profile > Data Management
- Tap "Export Metadata" or "Export Portfolios"
Data Deletion
You can delete all your data stored by the App:
- Go to Profile > Data Management
- Tap "Reset App" to clear all local data

Data Storage and Security
- Local Storage: Portfolio data, photo metadata, and preferences are stored locally on your device
- Cloud Services: Analytics data is stored on Google's Firebase servers; subscription data is stored on RevenueCat's servers
- Security: We use industry-standard encryption and security measures to protect your data

Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
International Data Transfers
Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own, including the United States, where our service providers (Google, RevenueCat) maintain servers. These countries may have different data protection laws than your country of residence.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by:
- Posting the new Privacy Policy in the App
- Updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy
We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.

- Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data
- Deletion: Request deletion of your data
